IT Manager Job Description


Summary of Job Function

The Information Technology Manager balances the role of being a servant leader and delivering exceptional performance. The Information Technology Manager understands the importance of providing an engaging environment for the Management, Employees and Vendors of the company while focusing on achieving the technology and security objectives. Information Technology Manager invest their time in setting up preventative maintenance plans, monitoring security, managing data, managing hardware and software in a way that helps our company achieve exceptional results. The Information Technology Manager is a self-motivator and has the ability to lead all the company Technology needs.

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Hardware Support Hardware in our locations and offices is always changing. Must have the ability to think ahead and change with time.  Our current hardware configurations are:
  • Internal TV's
  • Video System
  • Point of Sale
  • Back of the House PC
  • Firewall Device
  • Digital Menu Boards
  • Printers/Scanners
  • Phone Systems
  • Drive-Thru Timer Systems
  • Drive-Thru Headset Systems
  • Digital Music System
  • Mobile Phones and Tablets


  1. Software Support Learning and adapting to new software is a requirement. The ability to teach and explain software to persons that will not have a good understanding but must be able to use it.  Our Current software are
  • Microsoft Office 365
    • SharePoint
    • Exchange
    • Microsoft Office Productivity Suite Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • POS Focus, Radiant, Micros, Qubica Conqueror Pro, Oracle Opera & Brinks. This can always change.  Some basic POS software functions are:
    • Pricing
    • Updates
    • Add Menu Items
    • Credit Card Integration
  • Back of the House Syrus & Restaurant Magic/Data Central. This is our key operational management and analysis tool
  • Interfaces with different software.
  • Virus Scan
  • Internet Phone System
  • Set up and implement tracking for all project using some software like smart sheets


  1. Data Management/Control The ability to turn data into meaningful information using software (sequel type databas) is required. To save our company time through data control and management is required.
  • Mange Menu Mix within the POS Systems
  • Manage back of house data and interfaces
  • Ability to write reports in the Back of House Software
  • Ability to set up data extracts for management and store reporting
  • Prevent duplicative data entry where existing data already exist.


  1. PCI Compliance Processing credit cards is a substantial part of our business. Compliance is crucial to ensure we can process and are not at breach risk.
  • Manage testing & Compliance
  • Setup data interface with accounting/payroll systems
  • Familiarity with PCI rules and regulations. Knowledge of SAQ Questionnaires.  Ability to work with our firewall vendor and payment processor to complete the PCI forms and required submissions.


  1. Security manage office and store security
  • Firewall Software integration with our current systems without being vulnerable.
  • Virus Scan on all company PC's
  • Backup and Recovery Policies and Procedures Implement and maintain a backup and recovery policy for the corporate office and store level data.


  1. Manage IT related contracts always seeking best pricing and solutions for our company
  • Internet Phone Contracts
  • Cable Contract
  • Managed Broad Band
  • Video Surveillance


  1. IT Project Management
  • Use auto task and project management software to track the status of items.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent people leadership and service skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Vendors, Management, Team members and Above Restaurant Leaders
  • Ability to resolves issues in compliance with company standards
  • Available to work weekends and holidays when needed
  • Reliable transportation & Valid Driver's License
  • Effective Planner & Organizer
  • Ability to meet financial budgets
  • Ability to maintain accurate accounting & administrative records
  • Displays honesty & integrity at all times
  • Works & interact well with others


Education and Experience

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Information Technology


Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force frequently to move required hardware
  • Ability to kneel, bend and follow proper lifting procedures
  • Ability to work at a rapid pace
  • Ability to stand on feet for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Audible hearing
  • Clarity in Vision
  • Readily Understandable Verbal Speech Communication Skills
  • Travel on the Southeast coast will be required at times.
